The Board of Directors of the Workforce Housing Coalition of the Greater Seacoast is pleased to announce Emily “Emmy” Ham as the organization’s new Executive Director. Ham succeeds Nick Taylor, who has provided nearly three years of exceptional leadership to both the organization and the Greater Seacoast community. While Nick will be greatly missed, we are excited to share that he will continue his impactful work as the Executive Director of Housing Action New Hampshire, where he will work to improve state and federal policies to ensure everyone in New Hampshire has access to a home.
Emily brings a wealth of experience in housing policy, coalition-building, and community engagement. She is passionate about workforce housing as a tool for driving social and economic transformation at the local, regional, and state levels. As she explains, “Affordable and attainable housing is one of the most powerful tools in our collective toolbox for catalyzing community and economic development. I am deeply grateful to the Workforce Housing Coalition Board of Directors for entrusting me with this opportunity to advance our shared mission of educating and engaging communities and municipalities to support diverse housing options.”
On this leadership selection, newly appointed Board Chair Ryan Pope shared, "We couldn’t be more confident in our selection of Emily to lead our organization. There is an acute need for more diverse housing options throughout the Seacoast, and we look forward to sharing Emily’s expertise, energy, and passion with the communities we serve!"
Emily’s tenure officially begins on Monday, January 6, 2024. Community partners and stakeholders in workforce housing across the Greater Seacoast region are encouraged to reach out to welcome her or schedule a meeting by emailing director@seacoastwhc.org.
